Ok!
After getting my self ready mentally last night, I went to get me a heart rate monitor, which by the way do not come cheap. I ended buying the Polar FT7 which was $125 out the door. I kept telling myself, it's an investment.....
So last night, I went over all the manuals for my heart rate monitor, created my accounts on teambeachbody.com and polarpersonaltrainer.com. I got all my measurement and before pictures uploaded. Whew, never really went this detailed into a program besides logging in my caloric intake.
Based on the nutritional guide that the Insanity workout came with, I am suppose to eat 5 meals a day. (Which I already knew) But what I like about this one, is that it is a booklet broken down to the meal number. So under meal one, has all the recipes you can eat right there. Simple. I like.
I had my peanut butter toast with a banana and a boiled egg for breakfast, which was yummy!
Waited about an hour...
Strapped on my heart monitor and there was no turning back....
Put on my good workout shoes and pressed play...
First episode of the first dvd included an instructional video of how to do the moves, it looked okay, in my head, I was like "I can do it..."
Then for the real deal (Mind you it was just a fitness test, nothing to big, right? ) RIGHT!
Basically the fit test is broken down to 7 exercises. Every 2 weeks, you take the fitness test again to track your progress.
Let me tell you, this program is not called Insanity for no reason. By the 10 minute mark, I was drenched in sweat. It's really intense!
And about halfway through....I PUKED! Can you believe that! I thought I was going to die...but I didn't!
It was crazy, and that was just the fitness test. It was 25 minutes long. The actual workouts are about 40 minutes long...I'm scared...really scared!
But another good thing that I like about this program, is that it is part of the BeachBody Group, so I get some cool online tools. I get a free coach to advise and motivate me, chat rooms, a place where I can track my workouts and progress. It's great. It's like a facebook for fitness...bodybook. ;)
I'm looking forward to tomorrow and seeing how long it will take before I puke again.
See you guys tomorrow!
Here are my results for my first FIT TEST:
Switch Kick: 24
Power Jacks: 34
Power Knees: 55
Power Jumps: 14
Globe Jumps: 6
Suicide Jumps: 8
Push-up Jacks: 8
Low Plank Obliques: 15
Let's see how much I improve in 2 weeks.
